Connect iSAMS to SchoolCal

Set up your iSAMS API keys

1. Navigate to "Manage Batch API Keys" ( login as admin > control panel > API services module)
2. Click "Request/Create Batch API Key" 
3. Enter "SchoolCal" as the Integrator and Product name
4. Find the "Batch Methods" tab on the new SchoolCal API key you just created. This is where you'll grant SchoolCal access to certain datasets.
   1. Access "API Services Manager" ( control panel > external web services > API services manager)
   2. Open the SchoolCal Batch API Key you just created
   3. Click the "Batch Methods" tab
   4. Estate Manager dataset
      
      
5. Check the boxes to grant the following permissions for each of the following datasets:
   
   1. Calendar Manager: Categories, EventsThisMonth, EventsThisYear, Types, Events
   2. Cover Manager: CoverStaff
   3. Pupil Manager: CurrentPupils
   4. HR Manager: CurrentStaff
   5. Estate Manager: Buildings
   6. Teaching Manager: Sets, SetLists, Departments
   7. Timetable Manager: PublishedTimetables, Structure, Timetable,
      TimetableAllocations
   8. Curriculum Manager: Courses
   9. School Manager: Years
6. Press "Save & Close"

Connect iSAMS to SchoolCal

1. Sign in to SchoolCal
2. Click "Connections" from the left-hand menu
3. Find "iSAMS" and click "Manage Connection"
4. Fill in the following information from your iSAMS instance:
   • Client ID
   • Client Secret
   • School Domain (e.g. https://yourschool.isams.cloud)
5. Click "Update Connection"
6. Click "Data" from the left-hand menu
7. Click "Load SIS Data"
