How to exclude a specific user from having a specific class show up on their calendar

Sometimes you may want to stop syncing specific classes to specific user calendars. For example, it may be that a co-teacher or co-advisor doesn't attend every class, and doesn't want it showing up on their calendar automatically. However, you don't want to exclude them from the sync altogether.

To solve this, we typically recommend creating a separate role for those users in your SIS. For example, you could create a teacher role of "co-teacher", and assign it to the user. Then in the Flow, filter out "co-teacher" to prevent users with that role from syncing for those classes.

For example, if Mr. Jones teaches Algebra 1 but is a co-teacher in Geometry (along with Mrs. Smith, who has the role of "teacher") then in the Flow filters you would exclude "co-teacher". That way, Mr. Jones would get the Algebra 1 class on his schedule, but not the Geometry class, because he is a co-teacher there and you have filtered out co-teachers.
